I nearly died during my last pregnancy due to placenta previa and I had other complications with my prior two pregnancies. With three healthy children and advancing age, my husband, my doctor, and I decided that I shouldn't run the medical risk of becoming pregnant again. So I had my tubes tied. There are various reasons, in other words, as to why women choose to have their tubes tied. Too, I liked the fact that I no longer had to worry about accidentally becoming pregnant, no need for birth control pills or IUDs for me!

for starry eyes...they don't take out your uterus when you get your tubes tied!!! don't scare the girl to death!!! they simply tie your tubes so you cant conceive anymore...some women choose to do this for either medical reasons like if becoming pregnant puts their health at great risk or people who have decided they have had enough kids and don't want anymore it's the responsible thing they do instead of having to worry all the time on what "option" they would take if they got pregnant again..they don't have to worry about it...I think there is a sight rare chance of becoming pregnant once your tubes are tied...

The main purpose of a tubal is to not be able to conceive children any longer. As women age, birth control pills can have a bad effect on health, such as blood clots, stroke, ect. Taking the pill through to menopause is not a wise idea. The best alternative to most women is a tubal, unless you can talk your wonderful, understanding husband into a vasectomy (good luck with that one!). There comes a point in time when we are done having kids, and don't want any more and want the best that's for our body to make sure we don't have more children.

i'm undecided what rhode island regulations are, in Arkansas you had to be 21 or medically necessary I had my tubes tied on the age of 21 b/c of medical problems, and don't hear to a pair tubal could nicely be reversed, it value alot of money to get achieved yet once you are able to't do something suitable now beginning administration clever you may desire to talk on your obgyn approximately it and tell him your motives at the back of desiring it achieved and clarify which you be attentive to that afterward in lifestyles which you would be able to opposite it, btw in case you do ever opt for it reversed are not getting the laser type b/c they take a factor of your tube out so as that it could never *improve* back jointly. bear in mind no tubal technique is a hundred% and whether you have it achieved you will nevertheless could desire to apply condoms and such i think of your ultimate wager at your age is to make optimistic for reliable which you now no longer opt for toddlers in any respect and function your uterus bumped off you will no longer have a era to any extent further and you will nevertheless have your hormones

To permanently prevent pregnancy. It is sterilization and its not possible to get pregnant (unless it fails, rare but possible) Women will have this done when their family is complete or if they decide to never have children. It's the only 100% birth control. It's possible to have it reversed but results are poor.
