Annual total attendances at pro matches, which should give some idea, are measured in the tens of millions for soccer, a tenth of this for rugby. Pity, rugby's the better game.

The national game of England is Soccer.
Although I prefer Rugby Football myself

football, though since winning the six nations rugby has increased in popularity. still nowhere near as much as football.
