Ummm, sporty, look who the ****'s talking? Remember me, the 22 year old pregnant woman you had the nerve to call ugly, and fat w/ bad karma about 25 minutes ago after I told ppl all the stress I was under from being pregnant???
It sounds like you are the one w/ no life, sweetie, as you HAVE asked the same question about 10 times that has already been resolved, which makes me wonder why you are still on here unless you have nothing else to do but argue, and you are 13, you shouldn't speak to adults that way. Yahoo answers is no place for minors.

Omi, at one point in life, there were no stupid questions because at that time, the person asking really didn't know and feared ridicule for asking for more clarification, which is what it turned out to be. That's entirely different on this site.
Sporty is right - there are people here being helpful and answering the questions with that in mind. Then there are those that are outright annoying and want to add their snide comments just because they can. They have anonymity and can be as crass, as ridiculous and idiotic as the next person (as this girl that said Sporty's question was "retarted" - she couldn't even spell it). This is what Sporty is annoyed about and I don't blame her.
If we find a question not to our liking, the proper thing to do is ignore it and go to the next - it isn't like the person will run out of questions to answer. Why must people get on and be rude or share nasty comments? Because somehow, it makes them feel better because otherwise, who in the heck would listen to them anyway?
So, Sporty, I'm with you - if someone thinks a question is stupid, they don't have to answer.
Sometimes there are stupid or idiotic questions that some people throw out to "mess" with a person's mind. Like the guy sticking a part of his appendage in his little brother's eye (ugh). Sometimes a person might want to respond and even then, you can say something that is not crass. Or just ignore the question and put a thumbs down. That'll make you feel better than wasting time with a dumb comment.

They're called "trolls". They're immature and get their kicks from saying things that they would likely never say in real life. Most of those charactors are maladjusted, angry and unable to work through their own issues. They vent here, and other places on the internet, because it gives them a false sense of power... which they probably lack in their real lives. They think they're anonymous here, so they just spew whatever comes to their minds. It's usually meant to be destructive or hurtful to others. That simple fact alone mirrors their disfunction and insecurity.
Comments such as the following would be a good example of trolling:
"YOU GOT OLD AND FAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... DUDE YOUR DAY TO SHINE IS OVER.....OR U HAVE KARMA"
Trolls thrive off getting a reaction. If they don't get a reaction, they don't feel empowered. They shrivel up and move on.

I have answered a few "stupid" questions and that's simply because that person must have been reaching out for some attention and some help and they must have been clueless and maybe not have known the answer. There are some folks out there that just don't know. Remember what we teach our children: There are no stupid questions. If we didn't ask, we wouldn't know. We shouldn't be afraid to ask. It shows our ignorance by keeping our curiosity hidden.

"why people are so cruel" in the humanities section...
check this out if you like....many people replied....and you will realized that there are many people feeling exactly the same us you.....
keep up the good work of yours, we should be not discouraged from the cruelty of other people, just have compassion on them.... although they disapoint us....

Sportygirl, there's an old saying that goes... ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer.
Uhhh, in YOUR case, you asked the same stupid question 10 times, you get the same stupid answers twenty times.
Doesn't this answer your question about you being retarted?
Sportygirl, let me also add, that 100 lbs for a 13 year old is NOT THAT skinny. When I was 13, I weighed 93 lbs. and every one of my friends weighs the same, so I think you're overobsessing, When you weigh 85 lbs. and are 17, start worrying!

Welcome to the Internet. Sites like this are like fishing with a net. While you cast your net for food and sustenance, in the water, you will pull out some trash that is not suitable for consumption.
While you seek answers you pull out ignorance.
It is up to you to decide what to feed on, intellectually, spiritually or socially.
