Give your best friend a big hug and wish them the best at their new place/destination..As a best friend; tell them to contact you as soon as they are settled (phone, mail or email) and promise to keep in touch and be sincere. Once their mind is made up; all you can do is be supportive and wish them well

that's a hard thing...
my best friend also moved about six months ago, she couldn't say goodbye too me because that's so sad...she just told me that she'll leave when she waited for the plane on airport...trust me i'm shocked...
But, i won't say "don't leave..." even though that's the only thing i wanted to say but i won't...because she/he deserve a better chance for her/his life, which maybe she/he get by leaving...
Friend, trust me no matter how long the distance separated you, how many times will running A REAL BESTFRIEND would never forget YOU...
yes, maybe you won't be able to talk to her/him as often as it's usual and you can't hang out with her/him at weekend like you used to do...
but you will never lost them...they will always be your bestfriend like you always be for them ^ ^
Know what? i'm still talk to her...plan something real crazy (ha ha ha) or just talk about everything, i almost never feel that she's so far away...the only different thing is she's not wait for me again every morning to go to universities...that's the only thing lost from us....

Well, I'm sure she's going to leave even if you say "don't leave". When my friend left, I wrote her a note telling her how much I was going to miss her and good luck on making new friends and I gave her my email address and phone number. We also had a We'll-Miss-You-Party and it was a blast (just make sure to bring a DIGITAL camera). Make sure to write and call, but still, it won't be easy.

If she's still a teenager, you can't say "don't leave" unfortunetly! Just spend as much time as possible with her, while you still can. Then when she leaves be sure to write & call her. Just because she's moving doesn't mean you're going to lose contact. Everything will be alright!

Raven,
Don't make it worse by letting her know how sad you or, but show her how much you care about you friendship. Bring her a nice gift like a bottle of wine or something else she can take with her to remember you. Be sure and get her Phone no., new address and email address. Stay in touch and hope for a visit in the future.

No, you can't say that. The only thing we can be sure of in life is change. We have to be able to adjust to it. It will be easy to stay in touch over the net. But you have to face the fact that it will be difficult to remain close. Eventually, you will both make new friends that you feel close to.

Get her adress so you can write, get her phone number so you can call, and give her one heck of a hug and tell her you will miss her but you will come and visit whenever you can. Keep in touch with her and you two still will be best friends.
