dear jude...i do know these people are peaodophiles as myself and many of my friends were abused by them as for people being members of your family...THEY ARE STILL PEAODOPHILES..It is not family love and if you feel such love towards yr children then social services should be removing them from your care...i think you missed the point of the question...Abuse happens because children are scared to tell not because yr victim thinks yr gods gift..asshole

If you are concerned about someone who lives close to a school, have a word with the school's Child Protection Officer. If there's any substance to your fears, the school probably already knows about him.

Since the criminal law has a much higher standard of proof than civil law, you might try suing them. What they did to you and your friends was not just a crime, it was an injury in civil law. And the standard of proof there is "more likely than not," as opposed to the high "beyond a reasonable doubt" standard in criminal law.
Be warned, however, that if the jury decides that you and your friends are lying, the defendants can then turn around and sue you for ruining their reputation with the false accusations. So be sure that you are clear that what happened really was criminal, and serious enough to warrant bringing it all out in court.
You might try saying this to the DA: You said you don't have enough proof. But you have heard what we accused these men of doing. If it was true (and we say it is true), then would it be a serious crime? What would be the likely sentence? If you take your lawyer with you when you talk to the DA, you should get everything you need to make the decision of whether or not to sue.
Good luck.

I totally agree with what you are doing and I understand that it is difficult. A few years back a peadophile tried to coax my niece into his house - I finally caught this guy in a packed chinese restaurant, exposed what he did to everyone, warned him and gave him a good slap - for my trouble I was cautioned by Police who refused to even look into my allegations. A week later the guy had 2 broken legs - he had mollested an 8 year old girl who's father had got hold of him !!! Can you not set a web blog up naming the place, location, description but not actually name them ???? Let us know how you get on xxx

I would keep on going to the police untill they investigated. If they have never been convicted then you are on a no win situation. The 5 people you mention will they go to the police also you could bring a civil action against the 5.Children do need to be protective, have you tried social services.Good Luck

Firstly, you need to be completely sure of your facts. To know 'at least 5 paedophiles' is very rare, most people who abuse children do it to family members, and are very very secretive.
Yes, people do need to be protected from these people but we have to let the police do their job. They will take the allegations you have made very seriously but you do have to make sure you don't over react and go all vigilante - it does more harm than good in the long run.

I do.And as a person he's okay, but i wouldn't leave my children with him.I have seen reports written about him,but a lot of them seem to be speculation and unproved accusations.
He is not on any sort of sex-offenders register,as his alleged crimes happened over 20 years ago.
I personally also know a couple, who've had there four children taken of them for being abused, and i wouldn't trust the male,as he's a freak.
He decided to change his name to Marilyn Manson and took on his persona.
He gave me the creeps before hand, but i wouldn't go anywhere near him,let alone my kids.

Yes, I knew one, but he's dead now, thank God.
I agree that kids need protection, and telling what you know doesn't hurt. the police do need evidence, but at least they are aware.
