Well i am moving to another state before me and my husband file divorce. He doesnt want me to leave so he keeps telling me that i have to stay here untill it is done. I dont want to stick around for that. What can i do? Is there any site that i can go on? Thanks for all you help

No, you don't have to stay anywhere unless there is a court order
preventing you from leaving...
You can go anytime & anyplace you want...

You should stay until the divorce is final, unless of course the divorce laws in the state you are moving to are better for you.

Married or single, any US citizen can live anywhere in the US they wish, unless they are on probation or parole. Perhaps a judge would not allow minor children to leave a state while divorce and custody issues are settled, but adults live where they please.

No you can take off. I did. You just have to realize that you will have to go back for hearings, signing of papers etc....

You do not have to stay, and you don't have to give him your new address or give him your new phone number or anything.

Get a lawyer and have your lawyer talk to his lawyer.

I know because it happened to me!
