Lol the same thing happened when I got Norton INternet SEcurity BUndled in my PC for another 30$, I went up to refund it and they refunded it no questions asked, as if they expected it that t happen. I think thats proof enough Norton is bad. I recommend using ZoneAlarm or AVG as a primary antivirus protection.

Norton is poor, it really slows your system down, You can try and speed your pc up by going to control panel, click on system then advance, then change performance settings to 'adjust for best performance' , it makes xp look more basic (without fancy graphics) but you get the extra speed. Otherwise buy extra memory card to speed your pc up, uninstall norton and use zone alarm and avg free at no cost!!!

Ditch Norton and get McAfee.I am still using Norton Internet Security, and in my opinion, sucks.I'm changing to McAfee after my subscription ends.Norton's antivirus scanning is long, and hangs my pc frequently.

Yes man your dead right!

I use an old version [Norton Anti virus 2002, and a seperate and free Zone alarm firewall]

And things run much faster.

My girlfriend just subscribed to Norton I.Security, and her machine ground to a halt.

Get rid, or buy more memory.

Later.

Norton takes up a LOT of system resources. Personally, I would not use it myself, but if you want to continue doing so AND have your PC running as quickly as it was beforehand, you will probably need to buy more RAM memory for your PC.

Norton did that to my computer too and when I asked for a refund, they paid up without question, as though they expected it. Now I use AVG and ZoneAlarm.

NORTON IS PANTS it's probably running slow because it hasn't detected the spyware it claims to...... uninstall it(as best you can) and run panda active scan and see how much norton missed.
