If you have a papercrimper you can buy cheap pillar candles and wrap a band of crimped paper around them and tie them up with a nice ribbon and use them as a lovely centerpiece for the dinner table. Add things like dried leaves for thanksgiving and little Christmas decoration for a little extra flair.

For Thanksgiving you can take extra large pinecones and make "turkeys" from them. Use a heavy gauge wire and construct the feet for it to stand on, you can cover them with felt to hide the wire. Use different colored feathers that you can find at Walmart. They come in different sized bags and are inexpensive. Glue googly eyes on and with red felt make the "wattle".
For Christmas use different size styrofoam balls and make "snowpeople". Cut a little off the bottom so they can stand, attach with toothpicks and a little hot glue. Use pipe cleaners for the arms and attach mittens and scarfs using more felt or whatever material you like. You can make hats for them.
Have fun with your projects and be creative. Happy holidays.

You can make personalized ornaments. Buy the clear ornaments that the top can be removed, some ribbon, and some potpourri. Take the tops off and fill with potpourri. Replace the top and tie a ribbon on top. They really are pretty, and make a great present too.
