fuel injected cars use an en richer to help the motor start when it is cold. It does what the choke on a carb did, rich out the mixture, more gas less air. Of course modern fuel injection works many many times better than the typical carb.

i own a repair sop,and been at this for 36 yrs,, it don't have a choke on it,it has a cold start valve on it that acts sort of like a choke would ,,but it just idles the vehicle up for a few minutes,,but there's no more chokes,and none on fuel injection,,good luck i hope this help,s.

No choke. The PCM uses the coolant temp. sensor to adjust the fuel/air mixture for cold starts. If you have a bad sensor or if it's disconnected, the PCM thinks its -40C and runs very rich.

the throttle position sensor and idle air control is what makes it idle fast in the morning till it warms up.they work off the computer.
