i tried opening all the faucets in the house, but the next day i get a blast of air from the kitchen faucet

Just keep it up... the open faucet thing on the hot water taps. Those secondary burps of air you're getting are just "bubbles" left in the pipes when the water was off. Eventually they'll go away..

You did right by running the faucet. Although you should run them all to prurge all the air in all the lines. Do this all at the same time and that should do it for you.

Just keep opening up the faucets. It will eventually stop.

turn on all the hot water valves and let them run for 2 or 3 minutes, but it might take a couple of days of normal use to get it all
