No never. Seriously never ever trusted him. When I saw he was running against John McCain in the primary I thought there is no way this bumpkin acting fool can win. I watched him talk and make little speeches and just thought there is no way. Then I studied up on old georgie boy and thought oh crap we are in for it now. I knew he would win. It was a dark day for this country when he "won" the Presidency.

The words "have faith," and "always" do not well describe my feelings about President Bush, but I did *believe* in the first term of his Presidency that Mr. Bush was advancing the best interests of this country from the moment he dealt with the Chinese attack on the American spy plane up until the moment he declared that American forces would be in Iraq indefinitely (no exit strategy/mission accomplished) until military commanders lost interest in Iraq. Then he instituted a biased Tax Reform panel (aiming at encouraging home ownership, among other things), and released the opportunity to save "social security." Something happened in the last couple years to him, and I simply don't understand him anymore. I believed in him during the first term of office, but I don't believe in him for this second term.
PS: I *NEVER* believe that anyone will *ALWAYS* do the right thing. It is human nature to always change, adapt, and be corrupted by power.

As a registered Republican since December 1975, I had two opportunities to vote for him in a Presidential Primary, but never did because there were better choices, however I felt I had no choice but to vote for him in two general elections because both of the Democratic nominees were just plain awful. In retrospect I have on many occasions wondered if I should have voted for Buchanan instead. There is no doubt in my mind that he would have been a much better President than Bush. Sadly I can't say that about either Gore or Kerry.

I'm from Texas and knew he'd screw things up just like he did here. Governor in Texas is largely a ceremonial position with little power, but he managed to really make a mess of things here, and its continued on to the national level. What a fool.

No,he more or less could not disappoint me because my expectations were always low enough.
The sweet benefit of being pessimistic.Expecting the worse leads almost always to finding it isn't that bad in the end.

No, Im proud to say I've hated him since day one. How did I know he was evil and corrupt? Because he is a member of a party that exists to advance the interests of corporations over the interests of the common people.

No, but I have faith in Bush that he would always do the most profitable thing for himself and his buddies, no matter what the cost was to others.

Bush is a politician. All politicians are self-serving liars. They need to be fed to the sharks, but I don't want to hurt their digestive track eating all that bull.
