I do recognize it, i grew up listening to it. My parent's generation listened to it, and I always heard it growing up from them. In my opinion music was so much better then. Not a lot of explicit lyrics... and some of the songs were so cute! I listen to "oldies" in the morning to start my day because the music is so much more positive than the music now.

I really dont care much for today's music. I LOVE classic rock and the oldies. I know almost every song that comes on the classic rock and oldies stations because that's all my dad would listen too. There are some pretty great songs from the 50s and early 60s. Good Question!

Well I know Mozart and Beethoven! Does that count?... lol. What about Elvis or Beatles? Sorry, don't know much 'bout the 60's. I think those bands were in the 60's.
I VERY much dislike music today, very few are actually decent songs to me. I'm more of an 80's Rock person. Go Metallica & Bon Jovi!

I have to be TOTALLY honest....i'm not really fond of music from that time....my friend is really into the oldies and all i know is that she loves elvis presley...and that's pretty much it....yes its sad that youngsters like me don't even know about the history of music such as the fact that there would be NO diversity of music at all if it wasn't for the king himself: Elvis Preseley

Yeah, I love oldies, but I don't know if the oldies I listen to date back to 1965. I should find out, huh?
