Well, some women who were NOT trying for a baby got one anyway. They'd thought that they were in menopause, and they'd stopped using contraception, and..Whoops!...big SUPRISE!

But, obviously, that's the exception, not the rule.

In general, your fertility goes down after your 20s and 30s. This doesn't mean that you cannot conceive, just that it's more-difficult, and that there is a greater likelihood of complications, including birth defects.

There are many valid arguments for both having kids right away and for having kids later in life. So I'm not going to suggest to you that you "should" have kids while you're young and fertile or that you "should" establish a career and make some money first. There are milions of people in the world who love to tell other people what they "should" do. Remember: It's your life and your priorities! Do what is best for you. And that advice is nowhere near as selfish as it seems at first glance: Happier mothers have happier kids, and miserable mothers tend to make their kids miserable, too.

women can concieve up to 80 years of age but it has been proven that the pregnancy and child birth gets alot more compilcated and higer risks for birht defects after 35, but i know someone who had a set of twins at 50 adn they were fine, a little bit undernourished to this day but fine, if it meant to happen it will but you also dont want to get to a point where you have a baby with a ton of probelms and you spend more time in the hospital than at home with your baby like you shoudl be, but they have a ton of tests now that help you know befor you have your baby whether there are any problems so speak t your doctor about it first!
