Yes, and they are very intrusive. I really dislike the way airports are conducting searches. I value my privacy and I take measures for my own safety and security. RARELY, does a body search turn up ANYTHING of real importance.

Also, going into a court house is ridiculously riddled with searches and rules. I understand the metal detectors but that should be quite sufficient, I once had to return my cell phone to my car because it was not allowed.

We are a free society, and moving about freely is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

IF intervention actually worked I may be of a different opinion, But as I said, RARELY are attempts to thwart criminal activity successful. Usually the crime is committed and THEN police show up.

Peace.

EDIT: I just love the person who said "NO, I'm a good girl." With body searches becoming vogue, you are going to have to prove it, like the one answerer who said a case of mistaken identity caused a body search with weapons drawn. You wouldn't enjoy it, believe that.

Do you mean when getting on a plane? No, I have never been subjected to a body search for any reason.

The final time I traveled turn into final summer time. The scanners i think weren't put in yet. I slightly on the fence in this one. On a flight from Amsterdam to the U. S.. I felt particularly uneasy. numerous middle jap looking gents have been status with the help of the door. i be conscious of they have been probable status there to liberate their knees from sitting see you later. i'm uncertain if i could have felt better understanding that they had long previous by way of a physique scanner. After our trip, a t.v. station had a piece on the hazards of flying. because of the fact of loss of protection and checking on all the STUFF that is going below the airplane. I particularly have questions!!! a million. How a lot radiation are we uncovered to? 2. How do they test pregnant women and childrens.? ( No way is anybody touching my youngster!!!) 3. What approximately people in wheelchairs and the wheelchairs themselves. ( you may hide alot in a wheelchair, only look on the boarder from Calif to Mexico in vehicles. ). on the information the different day, a guy turn into think to board a flight. The TSA ( i think ) turn into patting the guy down, you may desire to hearken to the guy say " do no longer touch my junk". He did no longer get on the airplane. I wish this government could hire the Israeli Airport protection, they're difficult. they have been coping with terrorists a lot longer and stricter than the different u . s . a .. i'm completely frightened of heights and flying. i'm grounding myself till extra be conscious. while the TSA mentioned final evening on the information. in case you do no longer struggle by way of our scanners, you do no longer fly. this is high quality with me.

Yes, quite a few times, when I was in the service, at the airport, a few other places, even at an amusement park. No fun at all. Fact, it is quite embarassing. There was nothing to find, either.

Yes, one time when I was flying out of Gatwick, I was all upset and crying, and they pulled me out of line and did a heavy search..

I thanked them. They do their best to make flying safe for all of us.

This was before 9/11.

Oh, and I got arrested once in Canada, a million years ago; they searched me then, too. The RCMP are unfailingly courteous and polite, although they brook NO argument! :-)) I have great respect for them.

I was patted down at gunpoint when I was 17. Scared me so bad I ended up with laryngitis later that day. Mistaken identity or not, 6 deputies with drawn guns nearly made me sh*t my pants!
