Hello Friend!
Without hardware, software is not possible and without software, hardware is not possible. They mutually depend on each other.

Hardware is a permanent, physical device that cannot be altered. For the hardware to work, it is accompanied with software that can be upgraded, changed, etc.

Theoretically all the applications we use like Miscrosoft Word could have been a hardware device. The disadvantage is if there were bugs with the device, we would be unable to fix it without buying a new device.

In the early days of pc computing, fonts were part of the proters feature and therefore wer part of the hardware. Additional fonts were only possible if you added a font card. So in the early days fonts were hardware. Now they are software.

So software is better when it comes to the possibility of making changes without having to purchase a new device. However, something that is a constant will be hardware. The good news is that even hardware will use software to make it better. The two need each other. The less hardware you have the better because it is cheaper in the end. The hardware also contains the software.

Just the other day I downloaded an entire movie from Itunes. Noe that is software. No DVDs. But the software is stored on my disk, which is hardware. I can use the same disk for other software. This is a good example how every day less hardware is being used. We can also download applications from various websites too.

Hardware and Software are two different things. Hardware is the physical parts of your computer; printer, monitor, etc. Software is what makes your computer run (programs); windows, word, excel, spy-ware. You need both to run your computer, neither is better. Some programs are better that others, and some hardware is better that others. But you cannot compare the two.

i take in to consideration that u like to read software or hardware?
i would prefer hardware because of introduction and advancement in nanotechnology i was prejudged that all the hardwares are about to reduce in size with huge memory capacity and extreme speed. This will continue with the advancement in nanotechnology. Since this is an emerging field the advancement in hardwares will continue. The same effect cannot be found in software field though considerable improvements and advancement occurs in software field...... so my suggestion would be go for hardware...

You can't use one without the other...!

Therefore you can only compare hardware with hardware and software with software.

relies upon on what you want to do. once you assert "hardware" there is two factors: IT (crap activity) and workstation engineering (completely fantastic... also should be electric powered engineering). Programming receives you in direction of software layout (it is also completely fantastic). keep in mind that there is a huge distinction between being an IT guy and a workstation engineer. Likewise, there's a huge distinction between being a programmer and a software engineer.
