Famous? Well, I suppose many countries are because of their own uniquenesses.

What first captured everyone's attention though, was America's fight for its freedom and unique governing style. They left the monarchy-style government where one family ruled and created a land where the country's people ruled themselves. They were common workers and landowners who were directly involved in the laws they were making, not a ruling class withdrawn from its people. That was a huge step. They also said that no one was going to tell them which religion they had to choose or that they couldn't display their religious beliefs. That was the big issue. America was founded upon the ability to have and display its religious beliefs, whatever they were, as well as for common people to have the ability to BE landowners with a say about how things were run.

We should note, though, that much of the American constitution is actually built around Scottish precedence. Many of our founders were of Scottish heritage and our laws came from their ideals of how government should be run.

America is also more a blend of different cultures than are other countries. It has made it difficult through the years, but it constantly learns how to enmesh different ideals and grows stronger that way.

America is a famous country because we are the land of the free. Known as "The Great Melting Pot. " The settlers migrated and pioneered the newly discovered land in hopes of creating a utopian world. The vision was of a world where all individuals were ruled by none other themselves, within a civilized structure. Immigrants, then and now seek democratic rulership, government of the people, by the people and for the people, as opposed to strict, and cruel dictatorships who impose total conformity to inhumane standards including religion. Many pilgrims shed blood and tears, giving their very lives to the cause of freedom. Today, our heros, the American soldiers continue to shed blood and tears, giving their very lives to preserve the opportunities gifted to us by the original pioneers. Using tenacious determination, of the past, present and future, and against all odds, our democratic government represents self respect, love, strength and determination. As in the past and is today, so will be the future. America is the worlds hero. America is not only the most prosperous, technologically advanced and most individualistic country. It has been formed by the smartest and most talented people of all ethnicities from all over the world, each sharing the value of freedom and respect for individual, constitutional rights as outlined in our Declaration of Independance. The vision of our forebearers lives on as people from all countries continue to do whatever it takes to forge a better life by becoming American citizens. Our destiny represents hope for a better future as the strongest world leader of the United Nations. The values inherited from our ancestors appeal to all humans who seek to improve the quality of life for us all.
