I was at the mall and these 4 black girls were harassing white women. They were on the top level of the mall, directly above a bench on the lower level. They were dropping small items on white women who stopped to sit on the bench. They obviously did not know they were on camera. Of course they had were gone by the time security got there. Stuff like this goes on more often than you think (I have a friend who works in mall security) They did this ONLY TO WHITE WOMEN who were ALONE. What effect do you think this has on race relations?

Well I think people are trying to prove something. I think African American's think since they have been treated badly by racist they want to get them back. I can't blame them. If someone was treating me badly I would want to get them back. I'm not saying that is right. I'm just saying that I can understand. God made us equally and just becausse someone's skin is darker doesn't mean you have they right to hurt them or think the y are lower in rank then you. I think it hurts race realationships a lot. Hopefully we can pull it back together.

Just because the overall balance of power is one sided does not mean racism is one sided.

That said in the scheme of things, this behavior is not gonna affect things much unless it becomes a huge trend. Of course these are kids too so, ...?

Its no different than a bus driver here in Canada with only me on the bus and some black kids getting back on that he refused using the N. word. I had not seen this before or since but for some reason did not get his bus number and complain. If he was caught he'd have been righlly fired.

Thus all the racist acts take together are the problem.

Any act of racism is unacceptable. Be that blacks towards whites, whites towards blacks etc etc. For me it does not change my opinion in any way people harassing other people on the streets or in public is a shame on society not on that race. I saw a documentary recently on gangs all over the world. But for me the worst was in Russia. These group of white men and women from there teens up wards to grown adults where attacking anyone they deemed not to be Caucasian and Russian. A man on a bus obviously of Asian origin was jumped on kicked and punched by at least 6 of these men and i use the term men very loosely when referring to these people. A tube full of passengers and out of the blue they attacked a man and everyone else in the tube just moved out the way. Its all over the world and there ignorance and holding Hitler up as a shining example was enough to make you vomit. They where filmed by CCTV killing a person who had come from turkey to earn some money for his wedding. Even though they have them on TV committing this murder the police are doing nothing about it and its not an isolated incident. What can we do?? Its a shame on all of humanity.

It reinforces the stereotypes that are perpetuated on persons of African decent. Ignorant acts performed by ignorant people will perpetuate ignorant ideas.
