i think red looks good, also a light brown looks good. Purple eyeliner looks really cool with brown eyes. Also light yellow shadow looks good.

Firstly, its an idea to put a little loose powder on you cheeks so as to catch any eyeshadow powder that falls. This way you can easily brush it away. Now take a dark brown eyeshadow and using an eyeshadow brush (No.3 or 5) gently brush the colour on to the eyelid itself and halfway up into the area under the eyebrows. Then take a white or cream eyeshadow and brush onto the areas above the eyelid and below the eyebrow. Once complete take a clean eyeshadow brush (No. 5 or 8) and gently brush over the two colours to smooth out the lines and remove any excess. This helps to give your makeup a better finish with no distinct lines of colour.
Once done apply some mascara to the upper lashes evenly to avoid them clomping together. Apply several coats rather than one big coat allowing time for each coat to dry a little, as this will help avoid clomping. As an option here you can with a black eyeliner or the dark brown eyeshadow draw a line inside the rim of the lower eye lid for extra effect and enhance with a little mascara on the lower lashes. This looks good especially for a night time look.
A commonly asked question is, “What color should I wear?” Color is an accessory. If you are wearing a red shirt, find something with a red tone. If you are wearing purple, you’ll wan t to find something with a mauve tone.
Blues will bring out brown tones. However, the color and tone of a shadow should be determined more by the coloring of your skin. Hope that helps.

Me being brown haired and brown eyed, I found neutral colors to work best. You can never go wrong with a bronze or brown eye shadow. You stated you have dark brown eyes, so the perfect color for you would be a bronze, which consists of brown and gold. I think you would look most beautiful in that color!

Well that all depends! Any color will look awesome with your brown eyes! Brown is the best color because everything compliments them. But... it all depends on if you are going for a natural look or a more dramatic look. If you want a natural look then you need to go with neutral tones, like browns, tans, or taupes. If you want dramatic then choose a purple, green, or blue. Also make sure you consider your skin tone. If you are light complected then light colors are gonna look natural on you. Same thing with dark; dark shades will look natural and light will look dramatic!

I found that this website is a terrific resource for color and technique advice. To really make your eyes 'pop', using mauve/plum shades really contrast with the brown. I have dark chocolate brown eyes and dark red/brown hair myself.

you have the same as me i have dark eyes and dark hair well till recently hehe highlighted it. you dont' say if your fair skin if your fair skin. summer colours plums and mauves and pinks are safe bet. fall green beige light dusting of gold can be mixed in off white as well. coffee and conyac also nice colours silver but you must mix it with a darker shade to bring out another efffect. silver alone won't look right. use these as different paletes on a board if you can imagine it and you can mix them up and find out which ones you like the best.

purple or bluish, depending on the shade of brown in your eyes. A smoky green could also look nice.
