I have listed Cioppino, Clam Chowder, Dungeness Crab and some good dining spot. For seafood, which place is good for each above ? I don't want to be stuck in Fisherman's Wharf all the time and would prefer eating in a not so touristy area. What about Peruvian, Hawaiian and Japanese food there ? I heard that Ti-Couz is good too, for Brittany Style Crepe and Mojitos. Thanks! Going there soon ... :-)

Thanks for the recommendation. Aqua and Roy is in my list, so does Ozumo (Japanese) and Limon (Peruvian). Anywhere good for Lunch Tasting Menu apart from Aqua ?

Ticouz' crepes are the best, try it with the mushroom sauce. Go during lunchtime coz the dinner wait is pretty frustrating. I'd also recommend checking out Crustacean. They have the best garlic noodles. They're also famous for their crabs and tiger prawns. Order the crab puffs for the appy.
Roy's a famous Hawaiian/seafood restaurant owned by the chef Roy, a Hawaiian. Lotsa jap food, just go down to Japantown, they have pretty good collection of Jap food there.

For an off the beaten path kind of place, try the Fog City Diner. Its near Telegraph Hill. Have the warm bread appetizer and the mussels. Also, San Francisco is famous for inventing sourdough bread and I think they make the best. Whats cool is that everywhere you go, it tastes different. Every restaurant must make it homemade! For breakfast, stop in at Pat's. Its a great cafe about a block before the end of the Powell/Mason cable car line. They have great coffee and a delicious salmon omelette.

Red Spicy Curry from Little Thai Restaurant

Casual San Francisco Restaurants that won’t break the bank. You can eat out every night for a week and still buy those (insert desire here) you have been eyeing. It’s easy to recommend 5 star restaurants where you spend hundreds on dinner for two, but what about some everyday joints that you can check out on a Tuesday night when cooking is out of the question. Here are some of my favorites, give them a try and let me know what you think. I’ve listed a link for each restaurant to reviews, maps and contact info. Enjoy!

Ti Couz is a great choice.

Another is Cafe Mediteranee. There is one in the Castro on Noe St. near Market and one across the bay in Berkeley.

They make very nice Mediterranean food with sampler plates and larger entrees. One specialty is the Chicken Celicia, which is chicken spiced with cinnamon, wrapped in a lovely pastry.

For casual chinese food, I'm fond of Tai Chi on Polk St.

You need to go to Chinatown for Dim Sum. They come by with rolling cars and you pick out whatever delicacy you want. Alioto's on Fisherman's Wharf is great for seafood.
