Well whats wrong with the north? They have a murderer in the Senate by the name of Ted Kennedy.Dont forget Mary Jo was pregnant when he let her drown.Guess he didnt want to do the honorable thing and marry her,she was good enough to have sex with but not good enough for the Kennedy stature?

So when one doesnt measure up to the Kennedy stature,or if one causes problems for the Kennedy's,they conviently die..,look at Marilyn Monroe.

I was reading some of your answers, and they are well, bizarre or irrelevant. A lot of the answers take political party sides, and do not address the historical racism issue. Trent Lott lost his power in the Senate because of a comment he made to Strom Thurmond, and the equally embarassing way he apologized. He apologized on BET, because all Blacks watch BET. (No, they do not!!) For those who don't understand, here's what happened. Trent said that the world would be a different place if Strom had become president, and he is right about that. Strom was a Dixiecrat. The Dixiecrats were Democrats who split from the party because they were pro-segregation. Harry Truman had just desegregated the military. A lot of people and politicians were upset. Strom ran for president under the Dixecrat ticket in 1948. Here is a famous quote from Strom in 1948. "I wanna tell you, ladies and gentlemen, that there's not enough troops in the army to force the Southern people to break down segregation and admit the nigra (the polite way of saying ******) race into our theaters, into our swimming pools, into our homes, and into our churches." Now 1948 was a long time ago, (Trent was about 7.)but, when Trent Lott complimented Strom, those who remembered or knew their history realized what he was saying. However, what made the issue worse is that Trent Lot went on BET and stated. Trent Lott apologized for what he said, as well as not voting for the MLK holiday, being against affirmative action, etc... Here is one other little tidbit. "During the 1960s, cracks had begun to appear in the Democrats' "Solid South", as most white segregationists became more willing to vote Republican after the national Democratic Party strongly endorsed racial integration." This is when Trent crossed over to the Republican party. Strom also crossed over for the same reason. This is also when, a lot of Blacks, (we were Black then) became Democrats. Some people like Byrd did not. I have no idea why.

Well enough history here is the interesting part. The Republicans tried to court the African-American vote this last election, however, we did not vote their way. My personal opinion is that they have given up on us, and they are going to go for the Latino vote. If our issues ignored, then racism and black segregation my rear its ugly head, and we may not have the government majority (Dems and Rep) to assist us in fighting these issues. It may no longer be a North and South issue.

The President wife was involved in a fatal accident and that did not bother any of the Republicans. The President failed at every business he ever tried, that did not bother Republicans. The President is a draft dodger and so is the VP, that did not bother Republicans. They still throw up old craP like Kennedy from what 30 years ago. Sheeessshhh, get a clue.
As to you question, Trent Lott is in the minority, they have no power.

Trent Lott never left the senate. He just steeped down from being majority leader. We got Clinton, Durbin, Kerry, and KKK Byrd in the north. What the hey is those Yankees thinking??

This seems to be the way it has always been. The north and south have always had opposite views. When the north was Republican the south was Democratic. Now it is the exact opposite. That is why elections are settled in moderate areas such as the Midwest where there are even numbers of Republicans and Democrats.

Have you ever been to the south? They look down on education there. They pride themselves on their ignorance. Life there is about NASCAR, chewing tobacco, and backward attitudes. They know nothing of history or science.
