Most likely they're baby red-eared sliders. They make great pets, just as long as space, diet and other husbandry practices are optimal. My female red ear is 11 years old and I have two that are less than a year old. They like to eat fish, shrimp, turtle pellets, leafy vegetables and occasionally some dog kibble.
