How many of you empathize with Anakin Skywalker? I personally found him to be the most empathetic character and walked out of the theatre crying thinking about how I would do the same thing if I were in his position. Who wouldn't sell their soul to the devil to try to save the one they love from dying?

I would emphasize with him more if he either had a better actor to complement him or if Hayden Christenssen was given better dialogue. Either ways, Anakin wasn't exactly the best-written character of the prequel trilogy.

Thats not an easy answer cause you dont know what you would do untill you are the one in the situation its easy for people on here to say no they dont empathize but untill you have all the burdens that anakin had on his shoulders you might be a little more understanding. Yoda knew from the moment he felt anakins force that there was something wrong with him Yoda should of followed his instincts but sometimes we follow our heart. PS i know its just movie but i loved all six of them

Anakin is Darth Vader (in the past he grew to become Darth Vader), Luke Skywalker is Anakin's/Darth Vader's son... watch episodes 3-6 and you will locate out. the difference between the originals and the hot ones is the originals have been advised from Luke's perspective and for the longest time he did no longer be attentive to Darth Vader substitute into his dad. the hot ones are from Anakin's perspective in the past he had his young ones.

I do empathize with Anakin and I also walked out of the theater crying because I could see why he choose to do what he did. It's a hard choice when it comes to doing what's right when a loved one is dying.

I wouldn't sell my soul to the devil to save my loved one. True love is knowing when to let go. Ani should have listened to Yoda. Just look at the consequences of his quest for power and galactic control. Look at all the dead younglings. Was the possibility of "saving" Padamay really worth all of that? If you are familair with KOTOR; you know that the Dark Side does not save life, it only creates undeath.

um not really...... but one of my best friends has a HUGE crush on hayden christenson (the guy who acts anakin), so does that count as me feeling sorry for him LOL?

I don't. If he really loved her, why would he nearly have killed her in the first place? I'm going with Yoda on this, learn to let go.
I agree AnswerGuy, btw you spelled Padme wrong.

good is good and evil is evil, no matter what the reason. when one chooses evil over good, it is a grave mistake.
