Yes .Bring a few against the wall and Shoot publicly,there will be no bribe system in India from that time onward.Very simple and easy.This thing has gone beyond any imagination.

The only thing that has worked is to raise wages for public servants so they do not feel they have to take bribes as part of thier benefits package. The rest in up to the people who bribe to make an issue of being asked to pay a bribe or the official that is being bribed needs to speak up.

Stopping completely does not seem to be possible. It is almost certain that people taking/accepting bribes will be caught one day. In the next decade or so, technological advances probably will make sure that every purpetrator of bribe crimes is caught. (Like modern phone cameras are now helping catch police brutalities and other such crimes.)
But there would still be stupid/dumb criminals. Like the guy who robbed a bank a couple of days after submitting his application/photo for a job. As long as there are such dumb people, crimes (including bribes) will be there. Unless scientific and technological advances completely eliminate all dumbness from people.

stop giving bribes that is the operative point .
it is the giver not the taker who must be stopped
