Does it really work ? Is it a result of fear and uncertainty that people consult the "stars" for guidance ?

Because people want to believe that someone else holds the key to their life, and that the "stars" hold their future, when really it's all crap, and they are the only people that have control over themselves!

I'm into it because in a way, it gives me a "concrete" source to understand why I am the way that I am. When I look at a birth chart, I can understand why a person is stubborn, why a person can't commit in their relationships, why they may have had a bad childhood. It makes sense to me.
I think that so many people think astrology is nothing but sun signs that astrology gets a bad rap. It's so much more than that. I don't study astrology because I'm afraid of the future. Astrology cannot tell you the future. It's a road map. It shows where you could be going, but there is an amount of free will to it. It was uncertainty of myself that first brought me to astrology. Not fear.

its all the way we take it , some may believe it and some may not .
some may be too crazy about the astrology and stuffs. in this century many of them wont believe in this astrology .day by day the world is being moving quickly in technology wise . so ther's no time actually to think about itt

Some people are into astrology because they like to find out about their personality or what's going to happen to them in the future. They like to know what star sign is right for them and they want to know things like what kind of house there going to live in, how many kids they'll have, or if they're going to live a happy life in the future.
That's some reasons why I like astrology! =D

because it's fun. people like to read about themselves and sometimes horoscopes & zodiac profiles are surprisingly accurate. it's like anything else, though - you can take it too far.

i'm not sure really but e.g. i am aries and most of characteristics fits me perfectly so i guess it's not just a tale.
