This question needs careful answering. Drive the interview your way. If you want to be the one who will be controlling the session, then include such points in your answer on which further questions are expected to shoot from the panel and you are quite capable and happy to answer these shoot-outs. This will definitely turn the session your way. Also be yourself while answering any question. I mean don't exaggerate and underestimate. Honest and frank attitude always bring rewards. Regards and All the Best.

In any interview, a candidate's way of discussing on some matter, is the prime object. Hence, to start with, you are asked "tell something about yourself". Candidates' answer is not the main critaria, but to catch the candidate on any one of the word/sentence during that, so that the question can be asked more on that, and continued further. The interview officer/person normally expect a point on which you can be further questioned. So just carry on telling about your name, etc. Dont be sluggish in answering any question. If you dont know the answer, just dont shoot any answer. simply say, I dont know.
