Its funny, I read an article that said around seventy percent of Americans do not believe the Dems have any plan for Iraq, which is funny because they were voted in simply to punish the Reps on their plans in Iraq. I love how the libs now rejoice over Pelosi, like she is some war hardened general destined to fix Iraq in the first 100 hours. She is a San Fran lunatic that yanks funding for the ROTC because it doesn't incorporate gays, and people think she's going to fix Iraq? Her priorities are outrageous! Ah well, the Dems wont do anything but gridlock, they don't have the 2/3rd majority to enact the war powers act, so really they have VERY little control over Iraq. Sorry for the rant

Boy, that was "fair and balanced". The new Democrats have not yet even been sworn into office yet. Why not give them a little time to see what they can do, or to screw up, so you can legitimately complain.

Don't you even see the irony in your comment about using the war votes? Guess that means you feel it is alright for the Republicans to pimp the war on terror for the last five years. Bush has invoked the name of 9-11 in virtually every one of his speeches since it happened.

What was the mission in Iraq? I though after all the dust settled, the mission was to get Saddam. That was three years ago. There will be a change in Iraq. There has to be. "Stay the Course" is NOT working.

Don't forget, this election was also about the economy and corruption. It was time for changes to be made.

It will take forever!

Politics will not change until we start voting for change instead of the same old thing.

A candidates campaign pledge is not a mandate. In other words, politicians can get away with a lie on the campaign trail because they are not the elected official, yet. When they are elected, they have a whole different set of rules to play by such as: No money for the next campaign if they don't tow the party line, none of their bills will be supported unless they tow the party line and, the list goes on!

Again: Politics will not change until we start voting for change instead of the same old thing! One of the best sources for proving that fact is; Ted Kennedy.

People who vote Democrat will never wake up. Bush has a higher IQ and got better grades in college than Kerry, yet liberals say Bush is the idiot. When Congressman Jerry Studds (Democrat-Mass.) took a 17 year old page to a foreign country to have gay sex with him, liberals cheered, and these same liberals say Mark Foley was evil for emailing a page who as far as anyone knows, Foley never even touched. In 1992, Klinton's main defense when confronted with evidence of his sickening immorality was to say, " It's the economy, stupid". Now when by all realistic accounts the economy is in good shape, liberals say Foley's immorality is the important thing. Liberals make me sick with their consistent hypocrisy and the way they change the terms of the debate when cornered. Worse yet are the people who are still gullible enough to fall for the lies liberals tell. They will never wake up...

Unfortunately, the first responsibility of a politician to his or her PARTY (not necessarily his or her individual constituents) is to get elected. That means a lot of lies.

My least admired politician is the new Democrat Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri, a self-acclaimed Catholic who always supported the horrible process of partial birth abortion (yes, she's on "Emily' List") until she suddenly "changed her mind" to be sure of getting elected. She also told city dwellers that she was in favor of increased gun control, while she told rural voters the exact opposite (the NRA rates her an "F").

McCaskill will last one term. Damn shame that it's six years.

It wasnt the dems who lied and tried to terrorize America with nonsense about the Iraqis having nuclear bombs:

"Knowing these realities, America must not ignore the threat gathering against us. Facing clear evidence of peril, we cannot wait for the final proof -- the smoking gun -- that could come in the form of a mushroom cloud. " - George Bush, lieing to the nation about Iraq.

People don't see the democrats for what they really are, liberalism is all about subservience and control making the people slaves and dependent on the government it's about the hand out not a hand up ! they will not wake up until they get slapped a few more times if at all, i think every body in the democratic party are drones following commands and the speaker is the worst of them!

Like the current President didnt use the war to get votes? lol And he hasnt lied either...especially about the WoMD. And he is so competent..ask the Katrina survivors. The mission in Iraq is that they will keep taking our tax dollars and letting our soldiers get killed until the cows come home....while all the while saying they dont want us there. Wake up and smell the coffee.
