Spec out a Dell, HP, Compac, etc. with the SAME capabilities as the mac you like. (not the off the shelf PC unit price. I guarantee that the sales person will tell you that you need to add this and that to get the same capabilities. All at extra cost!) The mac will be the same or LOWER in cost. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!

Remember that you may not need that extra RAM or oversized hard drive right now. You can add them yourself later. I could tell you some real horror stories about trying to get after market components working in PCs!

The basic Mac video is equal to adding a $500+ video card to the PC and many other features are built in, not an extra cost add on.

Then think about future expansion. Plug and Play was an Apple standard from the start. It's still Plug and Pray with PCs.

Make wise decisions.Apple is no good as it expands the memory space of various documents. That is why the iPod has 60GB and it is a good a having a SONY walkman which uses half the space.Go for the HP Pavilion Desktop PC's as they are the best computers on the planet.

Not necessarily. even the baseline iMac comes with everything you need and more. They are priced very close to their dell or hp equivalents also. Also check out the macbooks. And remember, they come with a monitor built in.

Try dual booting Windows and Mac OS X on a PC?

My friend has done it. I'm not sure how though, he probably downloaded Mac OS X off bittorrent.

That's mostly because you are paying for the NAME "=Apple=".

If I said any more, it would be LiEs. And I do not lie! :))

BUT, watch your TV and get a --Totally Different-- answer! *Facts* are / and always Will Be >=FACTS=< !!

Go with the =Majority= and go with a --PC-- and save yourself lots of Trouble, not to mention MeMoRy!!!!

Sorry if it's not your dream computer! It's still the BEST!! :))
