I am looking to identify this doll. Where it was made, what was it called, etc etc... the cloths are not original. It is at least 30 years old. Thanks.

A few more details:

- I have heard it may have been in a sailor cloth
- Somehow it ended up in Iran 30 years ago!

Awwww, very cute!

You don't mention if there are many maker's marks, which is very important when trying to ID a doll. If it is marked, go to google and search for that mark + doll.

If it is unmarked, it can be next to impossible to tell who made it, but I can tell you that it's vinyl, and appears to be made from the from the late 50's or early 60's. You also don't say what country you live in, but it looks to be either American or Canadian made.

It has a vinyl head, so it may have identification marks you missed.Check the rim around the bottom of the neck. That is were you will find any information that is offered. It is probably not that valuable since it is only 30 years old. Look in the yellow pages for doll stores. There is usually someone there that will be quite knowledgeable, who could help.

I know there were other toys other than the polly pocket toy out. I do not remember much though. I had a toy that was an eye shadow compact, and you could open it and the compact part was her body and her head legs and arms flipped out to reveal a whimsical plastic doll. I'm not sure if it was 80's or 90's and I don't remember the toys name, I do know it was not Polly Pocket. I hope that you find out about your toy. -BorgKitten :3<3

Looks like his neck is moldy. Poor thing! I've seen this doll many times in toyboxes in the past

Check out www.dollreference.com and see if you can find it there. Sorry, I don't know who it is- are there any manufacturer marks?
