You can do anything when you have your period! In fact exercise helps to ease the pain of cramps!

You can exercise but do it within limits... you certainly shouldn't be working yourself excessively, at least for the first couple of days / when the bleeding is heaviest. I speak from experience, where during football training at school, I doubled up in pain and fell over onto the grass from sheer exhaustion and unexplanable pain.. I still exercise when i have my periods, but just not to that extent.. If you feel cramps coming on, take rest and drink plenty of water..Take care..

Vigorous exercise during a menstrual cycle is healthy and there are absolutely no health risks or concerns. You should bear in mind however that exercise may alter the timing of your cycle and the amount and pattern of the flow of blood. As an addendum not only is exercise healthy during a menstrual cycle it is healthy and recommended that exercise be continued throughout pregnancy.

yes, when you do physical exercise while on your period it can actually decrease cramping, and make your period a little lighter. Just be sure to drink lots of water because your body needs more during exercise, and during menstruation.

Of course you can! Your mum might be one of those over protective types who tells you to go to bed when you have a period, mine was the same! You are fine to run if you feel up to it, it wont damage you.

if using a pad or pantyliner, it might be a little uncomfortable, but doing exercise is a wonderful way to relieve those cramps. There is absolutely nothing wrong with exercising while you have your period, it is actually encouraged.
