the mechanic. you can't sue the junk yard cuz if their pollicy is bring us back your core and you get a 30 day garentee, thats what the mechanic should have done. and since he obviously did not do that its his responsibility so he owes you 600.00 or a new tranny

Was this mechanic recommended by the junk yard? You usually buy junk at a junk yard. If you bought the transmission from the junk yard you should be the one to return it to the junk yard, not your mechanic.
Since the replaced transmission is going out too. I would think the problem wasn't the transmission at all.
A clogged catalytic converter can mimic transmission problems.
I know you are pretty upset about not getting the problem fixed, but you need to keep a clear head on this.

I would never stand behind a gaurantee for a part that came from a junk yard... I think that you're just out of that 600... It's not the mechanics fault that it don't work because he did what hewas s'posed to do. C'mon... You bought junk and that's what you got...

you bought a transmission at a JUNK yard and let the mechanic be resposible for taking the tranny back instead of you doing and making sure your warranty was taken care of. Since you bought a used tranny at a junk yard and did nothing to help yourself keep your warranty i think you should sue yourself for trying to make your lack of personal responsiblity someone elses problem

Let me get this straight... YOU bought a trans from a junkyard and YOU did not get the trans core back to the junkyard... Hmmm... I think I know who is responsible... YOU... GUILTY on two counts... Why not sue the person that sold you the car... or the people that built the car... or maybe your employer for not paying you enough to get a rebuilt transmission installed. Or McDonalds for serving coffee that is too hot.......... can you say ddduuuhhhhhh
WAKE UP AND BECOME RESPONSIBLE!!!!!

Why get all sue happy? Did YOU have any responsibility in this???
It certainly isn't the junk yard's fault.

ON THE DOOR TO MY SHOP I HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR REPAIR IF CUSTOMER SUPPLIES THEIR OWN PART AND I WOULD BE HARD PRESS TO NOT COUNTER SUE YOU FOR THE ATTEMPT TO RUIN A BUSINESS' NAME FOR YOUR LACK OF COMMON SENSE, OR YOUR INEPT DRIVING ABILITY, BECAUSE IF IT IS A MANUAL TRANSMISSION THEN YOU WERE PROBABLY DRIVING IT VERY VERY HARD. I WOULD LIKE TO TEAR THAT ONE DOWN !!!!!!!!! AND THEN HAND YOU A BILL FOR DIAGNOISING IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
