They could sink a lot.
It appears to be fact that in a heavy ice age there was no water between Siberia and Alaska, and that mankind (and many animals and plants) came thus to the American continent.
At the moment I wouldn't worry about a new ice age. We are doing everything to reach the contrary, a global warming. Sea levels are rising, endangering cities on the coast. Another effect of the global warming is, that strength and number of hurricanes rise.

It's likely that first the sea levels would rise because of global warming melting the ice caps. The large amounts of cold, fresh water that would enter the oceans would not only raise sea levels, but they could also stop the flow of warm water from the south to the north. That would cause sudden and dramatic temperature drops in the north, resulting in a new ice age. As the snow pack grows, sea levels will drop again, probably to far below their current levels.

I think that if the water started freezing again that it would lower the sea level.
