Two and a half hours of chases and fights.....mindless.

Its too big a money maker - I don't think that will happen in the near future. in fact, I hear Sean Connery is making a Bond comeback - its set in a residential home for the elderly, and the evil cook is planning to put kidney beans in the mince and tatties and turn it into chilli con carne, the residents are outraged, but Bond gets his walking stick which is realy a machine gun, kills the cook, blows up the kitchen in spectacular style, and escapes with his fancy woman (a 90 year old with a lilac rinse) in a wheelchair with an aston martin engine to the local park where they attempt to make love on the swings, but are hampered by their false hips.

Come on. If five marketers brainstormed for five minutes about what young adult men want to see in a movie, they'd come up with a James Bond movie. Cool cars, chases, gadgets, easy and beautiful girls, spy stuff, a hero who kicks @$$ pretty much in every category from stealth and combat to fine wines and cigars, and cheesy tongue-in-cheek puns so we all know they aren't taking themselves too seriously. There will always be James Bond films, just like there will always be chick movies that rip off the plot of Pride and Prejudice.

Noone forced you to sit through it. It's the best Bond film since the 1960's, I hated everything since Sean till I saw the latest one last night.

because its exciting, thrilling, and just great. i think i should pose the question "how can we ever say its old and should end because its a crazy suggestion" james Bond is just legendary. its not all fights, its not all chases, there are twists in the storys, its got the classic spying of the connery era, through to the cold war style films of goldeneye, and the techonlogical excitement of tommorow never dies. each to their own though

I don't mind them making the films, it's just that I don't want each new one rammed down my throat every minute of the day in all the chat and news programmes for a fortnight showing us clips of all the best bits.

Give those who enjoy escapism in fantasy of films of this nature a break, I would think you have something that you enjoy watching, would you like it to be stopped because someone else dislikes it.
