Middle of the road 72. Too hot is unhealthy because it incubates germs and dries out mucous membranes. Too cold is bad for circulation.

I got a pellet stove so the furnace hasn't been used in 3 years. Even at the lowest setting it can get over 80 degrees in the living room even though it has a cathedral ceiling and is wide open to the dining room and the upstairs. I have to shut it off when it gets too hot.

During the day, when no one is home, my thermostat is set at 64 degrees. Just before kids come home from school it kicks up to 68 until 10:00 p.m. then back down to 64.

It varies.

Right now it is at about 70 degrees F. It is 37 degrees outside...
