I think so. I'm going to run it on my machine in a few minutes.

But if you want, download both spybot and Ad-Aware. Both have free versions as well as versions you can purchase. I use both, on the theory that if one doesn't pick up something, the other one will.

SpyBot, in my opinion, is the best free spyware available. I've used others, but SpyBot does the best job of removing junk.

Yes, and you'll find that most anti-spyware programs are free, some will charge for automatic updates or extras, but for the most part the programs themselves are free.

Not really and I'll tell you why.

Spybot is not proactive. It's good at fixing problems after the issue shows up but it's not really good at defending a spyware problem on the fly.

Windows Defender does that and currently is free from Microsoft.

The tool is faily good. I would download and use it and also download other spyware tools. Not all spyware tools will catch everything so it's a good idea to have more than one tool to use.

Spybot is fairly weak. I don't use it myself. I recommend superantispyware. It is very effective and it is free.

Used to be the best,but not so now.But just install it into your computer for extra protection.

yes it is i recomend it http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html if you use more than one product make sure to delete the backup files each makes or you will have problems
