I am 31. My husband and I have been married for 4 years now. (He had a vasectomy 4 years ago so I don't think that I'm pregnant) but anyway: for the past three and a half days, I have been cramping very badly but nothing happens no pink or brown, just nothing. I had a headache last night that was down right aweful but it's gone now. Lately my cylce has been every 21 days and very light and last for 3 days AT THE MOST. Could I be going through early menopause? I am very much healthy according to my gyno. What could be the deal?

I work for a group of physicians and the flu is going around real bad right now, so this could be an early sign of the illness. I really don't think you would be at an early stage of menopause at your age. Stress is another factor to consider. If you have been under extreme amounts of stress that you aren't ordinarily accustomed to, this could also throw off your period. Also if your eating habits have changed, you are eating dramatically less, this could also effect your period. To be certain though, I would defiantly recommend a check up at your doctor's office or OBGYN.

Take care!!

The fact that you are cramping and having a headache indicates that your hormones are moving around. give it some time, not every one's period is exactly every 21 days. There are alot of factors involved in regulating a normal cycle and I really think you are just late. Early menopause at this age is probably not likely. If you were in your 40's, then maybe yes. Could it be that you are having bladder spasms (like a urinary tract infection) and are having a headache because you are losing too many fluids? There are other things to consider. Why don't you try walking and circulate some blood to the pelvis, then you will know if it's your period, or something else.

I would go to the docs, and possibly consider doing a test. Vasectomy's are never 100% effective and the tubes can heal themselves unexpectedly.
