Why can't I delete or edit sites in my "Bookmarks" that have the big red 'Y" in front of the site name.

Other sites are no problem deleting or editing.Just the ones with the red (yahoo) "Y" in front.

try going to your favourites folder from "c:\documents and settings\'your username'\favourites" and deleting it from there.

it could also be that you have a yahoo toolbar or something. i had the same problem with a spam one until i got rid of it.

Bookmarks is a Yahoo tool and you can't delete Yahoo from Yahoo get it?
