i dont have a modem right now but will be getting it (motorola 56k) very soon.. morever i do have an inbuilt lan card

i want to recieve phone calls from the landline connection that i already have and no the pc to pc calls

ya it is possible to receive phone calls on u r computer first u should have a head phone and than u should buy a modem card which has this facility in it so that u can answer the phone even with out disconnecting
