The word joint family was 'coined' due to and after the break up of joint families !
Joint family system sustained for a very long time, and resisted divorces too (even today, divorces within remnant few joint families are far less than nuclear family) !
It takes a lot of sacrifice and discipline to maintain a joint family, and so, a child coming up in a joint family learns things which constitutes "education", to be supplemented by literacy at school.
All big multinational business houses advocate "team work" , which is the essential ingredient of a joint family !

Its based upon in a nuclear family U have to bear all the problems and U must take the decesion and U Will be free.
In the joint family there may be a problem but the lot of responsiblity will not fall on U R shoulder as the responsiblity will be there is joint and several but the privacy and freedom is less there.

Why would it be? Is there something inherently wrong with two parents raising their own children together?
There are some great joint families, but a lot of people split up one family, then merge into another without learning what went wrong the first time.

yes joint family is better than nuclear family because nuclear family may help a person to earn material status but not the peace,cooperation,love and help in the time of need.

yes of course, joint family has many people around and we can share our problems with them laugh and sing with them whereelse in a nuclear family though we stay away with our parents and sisters,brothers, cousins and all we feel bore without them we just feel lonely without them.
