I went skiing once, and i hope to do it again! It's sort of hard, but get lessons. Just go to a local mountain and they probably have hour lessons, and then you can ski on your own for the day. If it's your first time, it's almost a necessity to have lessons. I personally got the hang of it almost immediatly. But, I'm a kid, I'm active, and I learn really quickly!!! But most people probably would get the hang of turning and all that pretty quickly. In an hour lesson you'll have it figured out. maybe not perfectly, but eventually you'll get it figured out! It's not really that dangerous if you start on a hill that's your level. I started on the beginner hill, and I went on the intermediate hill 3 times. Twice with my instructor, but when I went alone, I fell, lost my skiis, then got my skiis, and lost my poles. Then my friend tried to get it and we ended up pretty much rolling down the hill. Tips are, well don't go straight down, swerve back and forth. That's how I fell down, I went straight down too quickly. Don't go for speed at first. I loved the speed, but only on the beginner!!! Anyway, hope I helped! And go try skiing, it's awesome!

Like any new sport it is tricky at first, trying to navigate around with the skis on your feet. The most important thing is to take a few lessons first, and start on a smaller hill, gradually working your way from there.

I have only ever been skiing once but it was easy for me as I do ice skating.
Just try not to lean forward or back too much as you can fall. But just remember it's not about doing the best tricks it's about having fun and a laugh!
