If all questions could be answered with a Yes, No, or Maybe , life would be so easy.
If the person who asks the question expects a short answer it will be defined in the question.
Otherwise the question will be phrased such that a short explanation may be necessary.

A few paragraphs is not long. An answer book of a hundred pages is beyond the scope of Yahoo answers.

So it is not a question of big or short ...but more important is that the question has been satisfactorily answered.

I don't care too much if they're long or short, I just prefer real ones, meaning that people put thought into them and are at least being a little polite, unless I happen to ask a silly question, then I expect a silly answer :)

Depends on the question I've asked, and the quality of the answers themselves.

I do not like loooong religious rants, however well-intended, or very long cut and paste jobs (unless I've asked for lyrics). Just give a sample, and then a link to the site, please. ALWAYS cite the source of any quoted material!

When I ask philosophical opinion questions, sure, ramble on! :-))
