Is it consumerism gone wild?
Is it poor diet?
Is it poor exercise habits?
Is it because they like to be obese?
Is it sexy?

Everytime I come home to America I notice that the people are more obese. Even the kids are obese.
And the people are all looking somehow the same. Pudgy faces, 2 to 3 chins, all the figures on men and women interchangeable.
Where is Jack LeLane when you need him?
Richard Simmons is loving it I bet though.
What do you think? Am I crazy or is it like that?

Simply, our love of the automobile. The average thin European and Asian eat and drink whatever they want, yet walk an average of five miles a day. We have engineered our entire society around the automobile ... suburbs, fast food, shopping malls, interstate highways, commutes to work... it was and is a mistake.

No, you're not crazy ... A large percentage of americans are obese .
I think that it's because of poor diet and poor exercise .
There are a lot of Fast Food restaurants and other contraptions in America and i think that it's more tempting to eat tasty foods than healthy foods .
And it's easier to play games / hobbies without doing too much movement ( ex : Play Stations , Virtual Games , watching too TV , staying too long on the computer ) than going outside or to the gym and do activities ( that are good for the body ) like running , climbing , playing : tennis ; basketball ; volleyball ; etc .

Bye !!!

In my personal opinion its because of our fast everything society... Fast food places .. fast foods to make at the grocery store Etc,,,
I am German and up until 20 years ago, Germans were heavy.. But they have changed their lifestyle within the last 10 years ..

Americans have too much of everything and when you have a society where anything goes , well this is what happens..
No will-power at all.. Exercise is a naughty word and our tv's have a gazillion channels..
I think its disgusting what people here have done to their bodies .. I am sure thou that some cannot help it but a vast majority can.
Ofcourse adult obese parents , end up with obese kids and that is tragic. We have more cases of heart disease than any other country and more Cholesterol issues that doctors are now discovering in teenagers ..
The culprit.. A glutton society...Sad but true..:(

Bad eating habbits.
And up to some point, subconciously, a poor comprehension of what "health" is.
Since anorexia seems to be going wild in America, people have somewhat subconciously planted in their heads a notion that nearly all forms of eating is a good thing.
Comments like "Dang that girl's so frikkin skinny, she needs to shove herself a burger" and all sorts of comments of proudly consuming hotdogs and stuff... gives the impression that those junk food are actually healthy. Even if Americans know it's not.
And honey, it's not.

Yes, I'm afraid, it is a number of things. But I try to make my kids eat a balanced diet and get them out to run off all their extra energy. We have a farm and there is always something that needs doing. What's the plan in your country? Maybe we need to do what you do to keep the weight off. By the way, I only weigh 95 pounds.

I think Because they have to have the larges meals of chips coke etc.. I think it the only country you can buy super-size.
Too much process foods.
Bad diet + no exericse = Obese
Nothing compares to a home cooked meal of lean meat and veges. With knowledge on health food you can make wise choices of meals even in fast food places.

No, we're getting fatter. 24 hr mcdonalds, supermarkets. Oh and the schools cutting back on extracurricular sports even gym class they're getting free rides because parents don't want there pudgy children overexerting themselves. you're absolutely right. Parents are not accepting personal responsibility for teaching their children about eating healthy. (remember they tried to sue mcdonald's because they didn't know eating it everyday would make them fat) that's because in some places the parents don't feed their children just give them money to buy food. Of course the kid is going to buy candy.

you're properly and that's each of the above, except i do not locate overweight horny. in case you dig a touch in historic previous, you'll locate that weight problems also parallels decadence in a society to boot. individuals, as an finished, are that way because it really is straightforward for them. It likely starts with a "satisfied" meal and, for sure, as you get older you are able to supersize it.
