I don't know about the best comedy, but certainly the most innovative, with the internal dialogues and alternate reality scenes

Not by a long chalk. The first couple of series were excellent, but it has quickly dried up, the original comedy being about their inexperience which no longer applies, but like Friends they'll keep it going till it becomes embarrassingly bad.
The best comedy I enjoyed was Chris Morrises 'The Day Today', a tv series on BBC1 in the UK in 1995, which satyrised tv news, and the direction it was heading. Unfortunately it was dropped after 1 series because of complaints from people who actually believed it was a news programme.
'Spaced' is also brilliant, from the people who made the film 'Shawn of the Dead'.

Their first season was funny because a lot of it was unexpected. After that, it kind of fizzled. It has funny moments now and then but it wasn't like it was before.
From Family Guy:
Peter: "You ever watch that show Scrubs? Lois had it on the other night, and I was kinda fading in and out, you know. I was watching and wondering..... which one is the funny guy?"
This year, my vote goes to Trailer Park Boys.

I like it but there is no way it is or will ever be the best comedy ever.

One of the best hospital comedies ever but Seinfeld is still MY number one.

i wouldnt think so. monty python's flying circus, for example,was a comedy series which completely changed the face of comedy forever and still has other shows copying their ideas, even today.

I think it's horrible. I also think it's odd that they hype it as being stoner comedy. Most stoners have better taste.
