Yes, we (hubby really) owns a gun. He has 3 of them. One is his duty weapon-hes a cop. One is for him to keep here, to protect the house, and the other is this shotgun thingy, not sure why we have it though. And I don't know if its easy, I really doubt it is, since I've never bought one.

I own several guns at the moment, one is for hunting,a 12 guage pump action shotgun that makes an excellent pheasant gun and occasionally do a little skeet shooting to keep in practice. Also a pump action pistol grip, short barreled shotgun,12 guage which is designed solely as a home defense weapon. Loaded with police tactical loads(00 buck) it is pretty much impossible to lose an argument with an intruder with that one. Also a SKS Sporter 7.62 mm semi automatic that I pretty much bought as a hobby gun, although I suppose if we ever had riots the likes of what they had in LA a few years back it could prove nice to have around.
I would not necessarily say it's easy to get a gun in the US but by European standards I suppose it is,as long as you're of age and have committed no crimes it's not that hard. Sorry but I guess I would be considered a constitutional purist I believe the right to keep arms in guaranteed in our constitution and believe in my right to be able to protect myself and my family. Just don't really see the point of being a potential victim for low lifes my entire life.

Yes, I have about 7 guns, why do I have them, hunting, protection why I have to go on driving vacation, but mostly they hang around in my room, all the guns I bought were before the laws changed, but you can go to a gun show and buy what ever with not waiting period, I've heard, do you own one
I would say most boys and some girls get their first BB gun at about 7 and a shotgun when they are about 10, most Americans pass it to their children

I don't presently own one, but plan to purchase one in the very near future. It will be for protection. It is not all that simple to buy a gun in the US. They check you out pretty carefully. The only ones who have a really simple time buying guns are criminals!!

i do own a gun...a .38 police special. i also own a .30-.30 winchester action rifle. i've had them for over 20 years. i needed them for protection when i lived in the wilderness many years ago...i keep a trigger lock on my pistol now...i probably wouldn't be able to get to it fast enough if i needed to use it if someone broke into my house, but i have 2 very protective dogs, and a vicious louisville slugger next to my bed. i pity the fool who ever tries to mess with me while i'm asleep...i've punched a friend, and my ex, kicked my sister-in-law across the room, and have made various other ppl air-born who've touched me while i'm sleeping...it's just a knee-jerk reaction with me.
no, it's not too simple to legally buy a handgun anymore, which is a good thing i think.
**btw i'm almost 6' tall and lift weights...most ppl don't mess with me. lmao. ;o]

Yes I do....several to be honest with you. I currently own 450 different firearms.(ranging from handguns,rifles,shot-guns,muzzle loaders, and a couple full-autos) I use them for everything, hunting, target shooting, personal protection and amusement. As far as the simplicity of purchasing a gun here....that varies from state to state

It's necessary for the honest citizens to be armed, instead of just criminals and self-protection is a God-given right. That's just common sense and our Constitution guarantees it.
Now, the liberals are going to come on here to attack with their lies and stupidity, but they all need to be locked away in mental intititutions, in my opinion.

Have never had a gun and never will! I've seen first hand what they do to people and I am scared to death of them. I don't know the laws about getting one, I think every state is different. But either way, no one should have one except police and military.
