I Could Have Lied- Red Hot Chili Peppers
Paradise City- Guns'n'Roses
Wet Sand- Red Hot Chili Peppers
My Michelle- Guns'n'Roses
London Calling- The Clash

As you can tell I have so many favourites, it would be asking the impossible for me to choose.
Also, I wouldn't diss the Red Hot Chili Peppers until you've listened to some of their older stuff, it's the old stuff that I spend hours listening to and I think people are judging Rhcp before hearing any of that.
There, I've said my bit =D

Story of the Blues by The Mighty Wah! - but having read some of the other answers I'm beginning to wonder there's so much good stuff out there - I'm posting this before I change my mind (again)

Just thought of another Moon River - Morriseys just done a really good cover unlike Katie Melua who absolutely murdered it

right that's it I'm off to find other questions to answer now

That is a tough question! Best song of all times! So far after living almost 55 years there are so many great songs! Money by Pink Floyd is something! Love , love you do by the beetles was something in its time!
Monster by steppenwolf was so much ahead of its time! Cat in the cradle. and so many more! How could we narrow it down to just one?
I'm going to have to say one song that changed the word was "She Love You" by the beetles. A time passed

How do you pin it down to one.
I suppose at my present age songs like Yesterday become more relavant, and many other Beatles songs are up there too,Imagine is timeless, but there so many great songs to think about,i will probably have a different favourite tommorrow.

A beggar on a beach of gold. It's not the usual romantic, lonely, I'm going to cut my wrist type of song, and it is not religious, but it surely makes you think about life.

Blowing in the wind. It was sung by Bob Dylan and at least 3 other groups. Cd's of this and another called "Imagine" by John Lennon should be given to every politician in this world.
