Don't you hate when they tell you that you need to rest afterwards but think nothing of waking you at 3 a.m. to take your temp and blood pressure and then give you a sleeping pill?

BTW--I've had several...two C-section deliveries, hysterctomy, gall bladder, tonsilectomy, and a few outpatient biopsies

No kidding. Nothing like finally getting to sleep then they wake you up and say "ok time for your vitals and here's a sleeping pill" Duh!

As for the number of surgeries, thankfully most of mine have been outpatient. I've had nine procedures on my hands (trigger fingers, carpal tunnel) - gall bladder, wisdom teeth, tonsils, knee, and both big toes. Several outpatient procedures (biopsies, examinations, ect). An old friend of mine once called me "Map" because when he looked at my hands he said all the scars from surgery were bound to lead to someplace..lol

3 - cyst removed from my lung when I was a kid
tonsillectomy
tubal ligation (no babies for me)

I was pretty young when I had the cyst removed so I don't really remember a lot of it (but what I do remember was not pleasant). The tonsillectomy was pretty awful tho - they didn't have to wake me in the night. It was the longest 24 hrs I've ever been through cuz my throat was so sore (and nothing they gave me helped). AND it took me a week to recover from the tubal - doctor said it would be a day or 2 - what a liar!

Thanx for the memories - lol

you at the instant are not legally blind only simply by certainty which you get to 20/2 hundred without your glasses on. Legally blind is on a similar time as the extreme-high quality imaginitive and prescient a possibility is 20/2 hundred WITH GLASSES "ON ". in case you have got 20/2 hundred with glasses ON , lasik at the instant are not waiting that might assist you. Lasik is recognized as non-needed surgical operation in Canada and the country, for this reason no coverage plans cover it. there is by utilising no skill an exact scientific necessity for it , so it relatively is not coated. some jobs require risk-free practices glasses or goggles, besides the undeniable fact that no activity can specify which you only at the instant are not waiting to positioned on glasses. EDIT **** those jobs do not say you at the instant are not waiting to positioned on glasses...they require 20/20 imaginitive and prescient before everything...there's a transformation with what you stated.

12. Plus a few same day proceedures that required anesthesia.
They need your vital signs worse than you need to sleep. Post surgical complications can be dangerous. Better to be awakened at 3am than dead. And for me, bring on the sleeping pill! 1am, 3 am, I'm not picky.
