I always thought it was because the wind usually goes down at those time. At least that has been my observation.

I believe they don't like direct sunlight..they also are very active in forests where little sunlight reaches the floor, even during mid-day.

they r pretty active at night too...i think they r not diurnal...dont hv great eyes,dont seem to lk sunlight much...

,!They love humidity(their larva develop into the water) so it 's obviuos humidity is not to be found while it's sunny!
