Depends on how distant from each other you were before the breakup. If you guys weren't really talking or communicating with each other when you decided to split then by all means jump right into the dating pool. If there was still some attachment when you split, then I'd wait a week or two depending on how attached I was.

I don't believe you can put a time frame on it. I guess you just know in your heart when the right person comes along. Just take it nice and slow, don't rush into anything and l'm sure that you will make the right choice next time. You learn from experience where you went wrong and you try not to make the same mistakes again. Hope this has helped. Good luck

Are you ready? Onely tou can answer that question. And if the question is yes than I say go for the gusto. Just take your time next time. It took 3 years of dating for me to get married to my husband now. If you have children keep them out of the aquasion untill you know the person well. Keep your head up their is life after divorce

So long as your ready, no set time. Just don't be on the rebound. Men sense this and they will take advantage of your emotions just to satisfy theirs. Take it slow and easy. There is love after divorce.

why does everyone ask this? like if you were married for a year you need to wait a year, if you were married 20 years you need to wait 20 years or something?

it doesn't matter. just focus on yourself and whenever someone comes around, you will know. it might be next week, it might be in 2 years. but it won't happen unless you are ready. time doesn't work in things like that.

It depends on the person. Some it might take a few months, others years. When you feel confident and ok with starting dating do. But do not push yourself.

Unless your partner was unfaithful (the only valid reason for a divorce), you would need to continue to remain single.
