3x+2y=9
x+y=3 -------------> y=3-x

Substitute y=3-x in the first equation:
3x+2*(3-x)=9
3x+6-2x=9
x+6=9
x=9-6
x=3

once we have the value of x, which is 3, we substitute it in the second equation x+y=3
y=3-3
Y=0

solution:
x=3
y=0

3x + 2y = 9..... Eq 1
x + y = 3..... Eq 2
Consider Eq 2
x + y = 3
x = 3 - y
Substitute this value of 'x' in Eq 1
3x + 2y = 9
3(3 - y) + 2y = 9
9 - 3y + 2y = 9
9 - y = 9
-y = 9-9
-y = 0
y = 0
Substitute the value of 'y' in Eq 2
x + y = 3
x + 0 = 3
x = 3
(x = 3, y = 0)
