No, it doesn't. It might mean that the one who "died" (as Christians we assume there's no death, just a change) was needed more elsewhere, or he/she had done all that was required of him/her in this life, or he/she had worked hard and earned a rest. There are positive reasons for being taken. I understand, though, that a non-believing person could feel hurt by a statement like that, even if the hurt was unintended and was meant simply to credit God with the outcome.

While I do not believe in god, I am certain that this was a metaphoric allusion. The implication being that lies and deceptions are toxic to the general good. Even If I did believe in God, I would have to doubt that the rate of avian reproduction could ever have kept up with the falsehoods spawned by the tongues of human politicians alone...

God says in the Bible that He knows how many feathers are on each bird and every hair on our heads. The birds are His creation also...I've never in my life heard this and I don't believe it at all! God will punish each of us for our individual sins. I don't think He has to take it out on the birds.
