Jews believe the Messiah has not come yet. The Christians believe the Messiah Jesus Christ has come to give all people eternal life and freedom from judgement of sins. The Jews failed to recognise when Jesus came that He is instituting a spiritual kingdom on earth and thought that He came to be a natural King to replace the Roman empire. The Jews missed the boat in this sense.

Well, the first difference is that Christians believe that Jesus was the Messiah, where Jews believe that he was not, and the Messiah has yet to come. This is based on the fact that the Torah (Old Testament of the Christian Bible) states things that the Messiah will do that Jesus did not.

Also, Jews still believe in the laws and observances written in the Torah (with varying degrees of observance, of course) while Christians believe that Jesus nullified those laws and they must no longer be followed. So they don't, for examle, keep Kosher.

Judaism also places a much larger emphasis on one's actions here in this word, rather than the idea of being saved or born again. There is the idea of making this world better in preparation for the Messiah, concentrating on the here and now rather than waiting for the afterlife.

Jews are waiting for the Messiah. Christians believe Jesus is the Messiah. Isaiah prophesied about the Messiah in the old testament.
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isaiah 9: 6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

In all my research I have yet find a proper answer or much of an answer.

If you obsere the law maybe you can connect right to god a the choosen people and maybe people that do not understand the law or just don't have it instiled in them need a messiah.

Maybe both are right. I hope I am not showing bias but it is true some people can connect easier and see much further than others.
